A symbol of hope….

It’s been a long couple of weeks on the island. I have encountered snow, wind, rain and a lot of cold weather! I was talking about being a night owl with a friend. I think I’m afraid I’ll miss something so I tend to stay up late. In reality, there’s not much to miss here at night being as I’m all alone beside the turkeys sitting on the ledge. But a couple of nights ago was a little different. As I was driving back to the house I am staying in, I saw a deer cross the road. When you see a deer cross, keep in mind there are typically always more than one! In this case, there were 5!!

As I settle in, building a fire and listening to music, I think about how much I enjoy being alone. Not that I don’t enjoy the company of others, I do, but I easily entertain myself and give myself the best advice!

It was a full moon so I stepped outside and when I looked up, I saw a full moon with what looked to be a rainbow forming around it. I snapped a picture and walked back in but I couldn’t help stepping outside every once in a while to look up. Each time, the moon was rising and the rainbow became brighter. I kept thinking to myself, “Have I ever seen anything like this?” I came to the conclusion that I had not!

I looked up the meaning of a “Moonbow”. There is a spiritual meaning that says:

Moonbows are a sign from the angels - They encourage you to continue your path and to know the angels will guide you through the difficulties. Each Angel that God sent is there to protect you, love and guide you.

and:

A symbol of hope and faith - The appearance of a rainbow in the darkness is mysterious and powerful. And it is a message that even in the darkest situations, there is a little hope shining through. It is an encouraging message to never give up. And to have faith that everything will be alright

I love this! I felt like the moon was talking directly to me so I stayed up late watching and listening! <3
