Small Town Girl
As this small town Georgia girl sat on the beach today, headphones blasting with music, she realized how much she loves the pleasure of her own noise.
At one point in my life, I thought my adventures would be shared with someone. Now I realize that getting away from those “someone’s” has allowed my adventures.
I’ve always held onto things that were not meant for me for far to long. But then, out of nowhere, my free spirit starts calling my name and I allow her to take me where the wind blows. And we all know… the wind always changes direction.
Tonight, she took me on an adventure where the ocean sparkled when I swam in it. Like a sparkler you light….. every move I made… I could see sparkles/light in the water as I moved my hands, arms and legs back and forth. It may be the most amazing thing I’ve experienced yet on this magical little island! Ok… it’s algae but amazing nevertheless.
Maybe my adventures aren’t meant to be shared with one person… maybe they are meant for everyone I meet, know and love. Maybe… just maybe, they are meant for me alone.
