Gobble…gobble…
Yep. It’s me and the turkeys. I’ve named them…. Ted and Pablo. There are so many more but these two, are perched right outside my door waiting to be seen.
After wondering if Ted could see me when he turned his head, I googled eyesight of turkeys. Yes, I’m that bored in the evenings! I was shocked to find out that the eyesight of a turkey is incredible and that they can recognize humans! So me and Ted have become fast friends. I felt really bad when I told him I was about to eat turkey! Pablo, on the other hand, is still warming up to me.
The evenings here consist of me and my new found friends. And let’s not forget the sunsets! The glorious, glorious sunsets, that leave me in awe every-time I see them!
I’ve had some issues with my back, so this weekend was a weekend to heal, binge watch tv, read and do a little work. I wish it had been a weekend of music and dancing alone with my shadow but my body decided otherwise. Sunday, I had to get out. I needed to stretch, walk and breath in some fresh air. The beach was calling my name. How on earth could I not visit the beach?
It was bare. Just me and my headphones, music blasting in my ears. Alone on these glorious beaches that, in the summer, are locked down unless you have a pass. I wanted to lay down in the sand and make a sand Angel, you know, like a snow Angel! But, oh the mess that would make! Honestly, I’m still thinking about it! It will definitely happen. Just not this trip. Instead, I opted to take it all in, enjoy the alone time and be grateful for the moments!
I’ll make my way home to Georgia on Wednesday. I have plans that are making me look forward to heading south!
